Alfredo Lounge
About This Spot
Stepping into Alfredo Lounge feels like finding a welcoming corner of Louth where time slows just enough to savor the moment. Nestled on Market Place, this spot blends the easygoing warmth of a neighborhood café with the casual buzz of a friendly local bar. The atmosphere is unpretentious yet thoughtfully put together, where a steady flow of conversation mingles with the quiet clink of cups and glasses, inviting both quiet mornings and lively evenings.
Here, the pace encourages lingering, whether it’s over a pot of English Breakfast tea in the early hours or a relaxed lunch that plays gently with British classics and globally inspired flavors. The menu takes care to invite all kinds of eaters — from those seeking hearty yet approachable gluten-free plates to plant-based dishes that surprise with their richness and depth. There’s a rhythm to the food that feels both honest and inventive, perfectly matched by the attentive and easygoing team who make sure you’re looked after without fuss.
Beyond the kitchen, Alfredo Lounge quietly embraces its place as a local gathering spot that welcomes everyone, including four-legged friends, with a sense of ease rarely found in busier parts of town. Subtle details like a dog-station tucked inside hint at the care woven into the overall experience, making it clear this is a space meant for community as much as cuisine.
The interior finishes the story — clean and inviting with just enough character to feel like a second home rather than a trendy pitstop. For those meandering through Market Place or heading out for a casual evening, Alfredo Lounge offers a pause that feels grounded and comfortable, a place where moments and meals come with an unspoken assurance that you’re in good hands.

Our first visit to the recently opened Alfredo Lounge, and what a great 1st impression!! The fabulous Lizzie was so friendly and efficient, and made sure my allergy was relayed to the kitchen, who went above and beyond to ensure I was safe. The food was really, really good, super tasty, piping hot and clearly freshly prepared. We will definitely be back, maybe brunch next time............

Lovely dog friendly cafe bar. It doesn't advertise it is dog friendly on the door, which is such a shame as inside their is a dog station with bowls, water on tap, and biscuits. The food was really good. The staff were very friendly, pleasant and polite. We will definitely go back

We called in on the off chance whilst shopping. The bistro is on the main street, so it's convenient. The bistro serves tapas, burgers, light lunches, and more. Well worth a visit. It does have a bar, too. Advise you to book to ensure a seat. Reasonable prices and nice food.

Our first visit and it was a good one. Food was tasty and nicely presented. Staff came back after a short while to check everything was OK. Nice decor, very appealing menu. The toilets were clean and tidy.

Walked in off the street. Got to say what a lovely place. Food 10/10. We had flat bread and meze. Both tasty and value for money. Owner lovely and very accommodating. Pet friendly too. You have a gem of a place here. We will be back!

Good food in an atmospheric bar. Very helpful and friendly staff. We went midweek at lunchtime. Plenty of room, but busy. Probably better to book. There is seating upstairs but there is an accessible WC downstairs. Downstairs is accessible with a wheelchair, used my sticks though..some doorways have steps but wasn't an issue with sticks. Food was good. Good range of food, interesting and not your run of the mill pub grub. The bar is big and I would think the place is busy in the evenings. Will go again.

I came in yesterday for dinner, i originally came in for a drink but after looking at the menu me and my wife couldnt help but try their christmas turkey curry and the bacon cheese burger, best decision. The service by the lady with tattoos the bees on her hand was nothing shy of amazing, she was a darling. Stopped at nothing to make sure we were good throughout our visit, she didnt judge my wifes mixing of ketchup and mayo which we've been places where they have! She was so polite to everyone last night, will be coming back, food was amazing.
